Hesperia Heat AYSO 878

16U and 19U Divisions Details

16U and 19U Divisions are the culmination of learning. These divisions are designed to sharpen players' decision-making skills, strategic awareness, and tactical execution. The season is organized by Area 10D for all regions. Practices and games kick off earlier than the 6U-14U games and the season ends earlier to ensure players remain eligible to play with school teams under CIF regulations.

  • Practices are held in Hesperia (multiple park locations available for coach to choose from)
  • 10 Core Season COMPETITIVE Games played against regions throughout Area 10D
    • A Tournament kicks off the season, typically providing 3 games per team
    • 4 to 6 games are played between tournaments
    • A Tournament ends the season, typically providing 3 games per team
    • Typically one tournament and half the games are played on the East side and one tournament and half the games on the West Side of Area 10D
    • Hesperia is furthest West while Quartz Hill is furthest West; players must be prepared to travel as much as 2 hours for away games
    • No restrictions on the full Laws of the Game (LotG)

Fall Season 2022
Upper Divisions: 16U and 19U
The following applies to BOTH Divisions:

Hesperia AYSO operates a graduated approach to learning soccer with fields, rules and teams sized appropriately to age and learning needs. Interest and enthusiasm are the only criteria for instruction and playing. Any level of experience is welcome, from beginners to advanced. Our goal is ALL players play at least 75% of each game.

Our programs are about playing and learning through playing. The game itself has been the best teacher of the game for over 100 years. Winning does not trump playing time for any player.
